Natural Inks + Bookmaking in Inverness

Spend a restorative day in Inverness exploring the art of natural inks and handmade books.

We’ll begin by painting botanical inks on fine papers—using organic pigments and creative mark-making techniques—then transform those pages into folded book forms tucked into beautiful handmade covers.

Each participant will take home a finished book and a packet of inks and papers, along with instructions to continue creating at home.

This intimate workshop will be held at Kate's House in Inverness and includes all materials.

Please bring a lunch to share and enjoy a creative, communal afternoon by the coast. 

*Please dress in layers, as it can be quite chilly on the water.

Disfruta de un día restaurador en Inverness explorando el arte de los tintes naturales y los libros hechos a mano.

Comenzaremos pintando con tintas botánicas sobre papeles finos, utilizando pigmentos orgánicos y técnicas creativas de trazos, para luego transformar esas páginas en pequeños libros plegables con hermosas cubiertas artesanales.

Cada participante se llevará a casa un libro terminado, junto con un paquete de tintas y papeles e instrucciones para seguir creando en casa.
